Winter skies and trees

There’s a certain type of clouds and a certain color of blue in the sky this time of year, and I’ve been trying to capture it in my sketchbook. I'm not exactly there, but getting closer.

This sketch is from a small bit of the forest between our house and the lake.

The sky is acrylic paint. The rest was done using the broken edges of my ArtGraf blocks, and finished off with some oil pastels.
