Somewhere between memory and imagination….
When you combine inspiration from landscapes you have traveled through with ones that only exist in your imagination, magic happens. These paintings capture the feelings of those places, long after the experience has passed. They don’t depict specific scenes, but the essence of them; the light that changes with time, the rhythm of the land and sky, the colors of the rugged New Mexico deserts, and the freedom of the wild and untamed Ozark Mountains,. My hope is that they invite you to wander along with me, to recall your own landscapes of memory, and to find yourself somewhere between what you have seen and how it made you feel.
Hey there! I’m Lou, and I’m so glad you’re here!
My happy little home studio is located in the Missouri Ozarks on beautiful Table Rock Lake. Between this and our RV travels, I am surrounded by amazing sources of inspiration. I love spending time in nature, soaking it all up.
I am easily attracted to the next bright shiny thing, so my painting subjects will vary, but I am currently obsessed with painting these abstract landscapes. I hope they bring you as much joy as painting them brings to me!
